Had Daniel Romero's company do some paving at our townhouse. Daniel comes across very well, prompt at attending/supplying quote/answering questions. Unfortunately for us once he is paid he is not interested in coming back to rectify any problems/issues, doesn't return emails/phone calls. They even took the garden hose, which has never been returned despite several requests.

After I accepted their quote, JDR Contracting disappeared - not answering texts or emails. They failed to attend two meetings that they organised to discuss the work. Very disappointing as well as costing me time and aggravation.

I’m glad to see recent positive reviews for JDR Contracting so some customers are still experiencing their initially strong service. Our experience, unfortunately, has been 6 months of frustration awaiting completion of the landscaping work; including re-laying of warped tiles, replacement of artificial grass which was never completed, and repair of a hole in our cladding (to name a few). The most disappointing and critical aspect has been JDR’s communication. Countless texts, calls and emails, have gone unanswered – the only response we had was after a complaint to the Hutt City Council, which resulted in ½ a day’s rectification work only. We’re currently requesting quotes from other landscaping companies to complete the work. Difficult to recommend. Additional note, the initial work came in 10% over budget, and we never received a breakdown to explain the differing costs.

JDR Contracting have recently completed some paving work for us which included putting a water feature in. The communication from the outset was excellent - Daniel and his team were always more than happy to come around and discuss ideas and then provide quotes for the work. His team are great guys who are more than happy to discuss work progress with you. The end product is an area of paving that we are very pleased with - it has transformed our outdoor space - I would recommend this company with no hesitation at all.

You are always mindful when you allow new trades people to come to your home. In this case with Daniel and his team, it turned out there was nothing to be concerned about. Daniel, Loui, Jay and the rest were brilliant! We required new steps in pavers, additional paved areas and some existing pavers needed to be remodeled. Some parts were a challenge but they were certainly capable and handled it professionally. Great communication along the way allowed us to make changes where necessary. We would highly recommend JDR Contracting.

JDR contracting carried out landscaping work for us and our experience dealing with them was more than satisfying. Daniel (JD), their project manager is a thorough professional who always provided a sound advice and also was more than helpful in incorporating our ideas into his plans. The outcome of that is a lovely garden which me and my family are enjoying very much. JD always discussed the work details prior to starting the work, advised costs upfront and tightly controlled the work schedule. Overall it was such a enjoyable and stress free experience for us and credit is to JDR contracting for their excellent planning and customer focus approach. We can happily recommend JDR Contracting for any landscaping work. We are very happy and satisfied customers!

JDR Contracting were professional at every stage of the job, and the workmanship was of a really high standard. JD was in regular contact throughout and there was a meeting at the end to make sure that I was happy with the finished job. It has been a real pleasure engaging JD and his team and I have no hesitation recommending them to others.

JD proved to be a very thorough operator throughout the whole time we dealt with him. His communication and correspondence from start to finish of the project was fantastic. Quality of work was fine and we have no problem recommending him or calling on his services again in the future.
